The Palouse workshop for June filled up before the end of 2009, don't miss this newly added one for May. Join Kevin McNeal, Zack Schnepf and Adrian Klein for an exciting journey to see the Best of the Palouse. There is no better place to visit in spring then in the Palouse. The Palouse region can be found in southeastern Washington and also parts of North Central Idaho. It is the richest wheat growing area in the United States for many reasons. It also grows peas, barley, wheat, hay, lentils, and canola. But perhaps the Palouse is better known for its endless rolling hills of vivid green, rustic rural barns, spring wildflowers, and pastoral vistas that visually amaze the senses. To a photographer this is a dream of sensual landscapes and visual designs where the opportunities to shoot are everywhere. The pastorals are unique to the eye in color, pattern, and designs. And every photographer sees different designs and concepts. Spring is a time to witness lush vivid greens; this is just after the seeds have been planted but before the harvest season. We will be visiting many of the iconic places such as Steptoe Butte, Kamiak Butte, and the Palouse River. We will also show you some of the lesser-known places except to the locals. We will be providing opportunities to photograph rural barns, rolling hills, historic churches, and wildflowers. Come join us as we visit one of the most beautiful areas in the world in spring.

Lodging and meals are not included in the cost yet we will give recommendations of lodging from hotels to camping and help you out in any way we can. We normally do group lodging like renting a large home yet the Palouse may not have this option for us. We will eat most if not all meals together when possible, as this time is an important part of each workshop. For transportation it will be up to each participant to make their way to the Palouse and as we travel to the various locations. Once at the workshop car pooling usually takes place among the particpants and suggested but is not required. We look forward to photographing with you on the Palouse Hills workshop in May 2010!
