There is no better place to visit when it cools down in September then the Olympic Peninsula. Known for its serenity, isolation, and tranquil beauty, this landscape is unforgettable. Join Adrian Klein and Kevin McNeal as we take you to some of the most breath taking beaches in the Pacific Northwest. The magic hour of sunrise and sunset will focus on capturing the grandeur of the haystacks, intricate details of the foreground rocks, and motion of the water. We will be visiting Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, and Second Beach. Each of these beaches are unique its own right and we will show when and where to shoot while here. We will also show how to capture high dynamic images that make shooting coastal images so special. We will also show some of the not so known places that make for some stunning beach images.
During the day we will explore the magic of the Hoh Rain Forest and Lake Quinault. Attention we will be placed on shooting vibrant moss, hanging branches and streams that make this forest so special. Shooting forest scenes that range from macro to wide vistas we will demonstrate how to shoot low light situations that are common in within forests. We will also spend some time during the day going through a beneficial workflow from start to finish in Photoshop that makes your workflow more efficient so your pictures look like what you saw when you took the picture in the first place. So don’t miss out on this opportunity to shoot the diverse landscape of the Olympic Peninsula without all the crowds of summer.
Lodging and meals are not included in the cost yet we will give recommendations of lodging from hotels to camping and help you out in any way we can. We will have reserved a large house for most if not all of particpants to stay at, this is first come first serve and will range from $50 to $100 a night per person. We will eat most if not all meals together when possible, as this time is an important part of each workshop. For transportation it will be up to each participant to make their way to the coast and as we travel to the various locations. Once at the workshop car pooling usually takes place among the particpants but is not required. We look forward to photographing with you on the Washington coast in 2010!
